Top Grooming Products

Most of you may already know my obsession with male grooming and products.  In today’s modern and hectic world, mens grooming has become increasingly popular.  However, we can sometimes get bombarded with the amount of products and marketing that is out there.  My obsession has led me to try and test a great number of incredible products. I have taken it upon myself to only write about the products that have truly benefited me or lived up to what they purpose. Here are some of my recommendations that have definitely worked for me;

Face

Ben Nye Banana Powder – If you are anything like me, I hate concealing or finishing products that lay heavy on top of your skin. I have searched high and low for a product that suited male skin that wasn’t too obvious when you apply it. This fantastic yellow coloured powder seems to do the trick and is so easy to apply. It is a one-step wonder to control oil and shine to give a soft focus finish. It gives a discreet finish which neutralises dark under eye circles and corrects surface redness and pink undertones. This product is perfect for nights out, when its warm or humid or when you know you are going to get photographed. This product is compact and you can travel well with it, a small amount goes a long way.

Pixi Glow Tonic – Although not exclusively aimed at the male market, I do love Pixi’s range of products for skincare.  My ultimate favourite is their Glow Tonic which also comes in convenient pre-soaked pads, great for travelling or keeping in your toiletry case. I use this every morning and night and lightly sweep it across the skin keeping me blemish free and with a healthy glow. When I shave, I sometimes get irritation and I have found this product to be very helpful at healing and speeding up the recovery process.

Hair

Sachajuan Thickening Shampoo – I was lucky enough to be sent this from the amazing luxury male grooming company: The Grooming Clinic. Being someone that has thin hair, I am always on the lookout for that perfect product that thickens the hair without leaving residue. From the minute I started using this shampoo,  my hair felt instantly thicker. To my surprise it didn’t weigh my hair down which I have experienced with most other thickening shampoos. In addition to this,  I loved that it has the added benefits of heat protectors, which gives me reassurance that my hair is being protected. This products great quality ingredients, fresh fragrance and the fact that it actually works, makes it worth the purchase.

Aveda Thickening Lotion – In addition to a thickening shampoo, I always love to use a thickening tonic or spray to give that added density and shine. I have found nothing better than Aveda Thickening Lotion. Not only does it have that fresh herbal fragrance that Aveda is known for, it actually does what it says. After washing my hair I spray a small amount into my hand then massage it into my damp hair. The good thing is that a little goes a long way, so the product will last a while. After blow drying, your hair becomes thick, shiny and manageable and lasts the whole day.

Oral care

I always love trying new and unusual products, so when I purchased Marvis Limited Edition toothpaste from The Grooming Clinic, I couldn’t wait to try it. If you haven’t already used their products, Marvis are a contemporary toothpaste company from Italy creating toothpaste with unusual yet surprisingly tasty concoctions. This rich, creamy toothpaste comes in seven different flavours Jasmine, Classic Strong, Ginger, Whitening, Amarelli Liquorice, Aquatic and Cinnamon. For a truly new experience I tried the new Wonders of the World limited Edition Royal flavour. This particular toothpaste combines Italian lemon oil, tangerines, rose extract and nutmeg. Not only does the flavour taste absolutely delicious it also brings a new experience to a boring morning and evening ritual.  The quality of the product is second to none, leaving your teeth sparkling clean. Now I need to work my way through all the other taste sensations!

Supplements
