Nordelaia
Piedmont, Italy
Opening Spring 2021

Nordelaia, deep in Italy’s Piedmont wine country between Milan and Genoa, opens in Spring 2021. With easy access from Milan, Genoa and Turin, this independent boutique hotel, with just 12 rooms, is set on five hectares of agricultural land, planted with vines that will produce the hotel’s own wines.

The existing farmhouse, the heart of which dates back 800 years, has been transformed by British design studio These White Walls, founded in 2017 by Rose Murray and known for the multi-award-winning interiors of HIDE restaurant in Mayfair. The studio has created beautifully crafted, bespoke interiors across the hotel. Each of the guestrooms has a distinctive aesthetic, connected with the historical context and local landscape, respecting the building’s long history.

Reception Area

The serene spa is set in the vaults of the building, with new glass-fronted relaxation rooms that open up views across the valley, bringing the healing power of Nature into the spa. The restaurant will be overseen by Michelin-starred Chef Andrea Ribaldone, using home-grown, local and seasonal produce and wines. The General Manager is Alfonso Spinelli, who has a deep love and understanding of Piedmont, having worked in the area for 12 years.

Nordelaia is all about natural relaxation – informal but luxurious, imbued with quality and detail. There is plenty to inspire and explore: beautiful unspoiled countryside, vineyards, ancient castles and picturesque villages, hot sulphur springs, glorious local food and wines – as well as under-the-radar Genoa, with its art, historic centre, fabulous food and the transformed Renzo Piano port. Back at the hotel, a games room, terraces with outdoor pools and a large garden, all lend themselves to further relaxation.
